Virtual Doula Services
Are you interested in having a Doula but may not want another person at the birth?
Would you like some additional support and information but are concerned about costs and time commitments?
I offer on-call /remote support to women throughout their pregnancy; prenatal/ antepartum, labor and postpartum. My services include one initial in-person meeting (if applicable or wanted). You will also have access to unlimited call, text, email and video service. I will work with you to help you to create your birth plan; offer advice, guidance, and recommendations in choosing a obstetrician, pediatrician, and other pregnancy-related services. Virtually I will be available during labor to help aid in your emotional comfort and offer suggestions to help your labor progress smoothly. In the postpartum stage, I will be available to assist with questions concerning baby care and breastfeeding. If you decide you would like to have me present at the birth and I have an opening, there will be an additional fee.
Virtual Doula services will begin on the date of contract signing and will continue until two weeks postpartum. A $250 fee is due at signing.
Services Include :
Initial consultation, either in person or via phone or video where we establish your needs and requirement
On-call support from 34 weeks up to 2 weeks postpartum via text, phone, video and email, useful information sheets and handouts to take to the birth
Video or phone availability during labor to field questions and help with birth options and emotional support.
1-2 post-natal visits (depending on location) via phone or video to review and process the birth and for any assistance with breastfeeding
Helping you understand what options you have and review the benefits and risks of different procedures that are available to you during your pregnancy and when you give birth
Teaching you to advocate for yourself to achieve the birth you desire
